Shifnal is a private members club, which means the club is owned and run exclusively by and for the members.
Members of Shifnal Golf Club are part of an inspiring, active and loyal community. As well as a great golf course, members have so much to do and take part in within this community. Competitions most weekends, social events every month, a vibrant bar and a refined restaurant.
No matter your age, your gender or your golfing ability (you don't even have to play golf) there is something for you to take part in or enjoy at all times.
Members Benefits
As a playing member you get to use the course as often as you like and you can enter club competitions, of which there are many. You can also use the practice facilities. You are also welcome to bring guests to play the course at a special discounted rate.
Our club house is fully available for your use. Members get a discounted rate on all bar drinks, so you will find the clubhouse makes a very good local! Social events are organised throughout the year - details are posted in the clubhouse.
Men, Ladies, Seniors and Juniors all have their own sections in the club, and will do their best to ensure that you are made welcome and quickly become an active member of the club.
Finally, members are entitled to make use of reciprocal arrangements with other clubs either through the County Card Scheme or through the Reciprocal Scheme. Both of these offer substantial discounts over normal visitor rates.
Winter Offer for Females
As part of our commitment to the R&A Women in Golf Charter, Shifnal Golf Club is delighted to offer introductory membership for females as follows:
Membership runs from the dates below, starting on 1st October 2024, until the end of our current membership year on 31st March 2025

This offer allows players to identify if they would like to join an established Golf Club, with a strong Ladies’ Section for support. It also facilitates, if necessary, obtaining a recognised handicap, without a large monetary outlay.
On taking up the introductory membership, you will be allocated:
A ‘Golf Buddy’ to help you settle into the Golf Club.
A Gold Membership Card which entitles you to discounts for food and drink.
The offer includes unlimited golf Monday to Friday, the only restriction is that you will only be able to play after 2pm Saturdays and Sunday.
The Ladies’ Section Christmas competitions commence at the end of October and you would be welcome to take part in these social competitions. This social season culminates in a Christmas lunch in December.
During the early months of the year, ‘fun’ games are organised every Thursday, depending on weather conditions. You would be very welcome to join us.

Applications can be sent direct to the Secretary’s Office at the Golf Club. On receipt of your application, you will be invited to meet with our Ladies’ Captain and be given a welcome pack, together with information about the Golf Club.
We have a limited number of corporate memberships available. Included in the package is full membership for one person (the bearer), as well as options for you to entertain customers and employees in the wonderful surroundings of the course and club house.

In addition to the above membership rates, England Golf and County Union fees in place at the time of application may also be charged.
* Junior Membership is available to persons aged below 18 years as at the start of the first of the subscription year. (i.e April 1st each year).
** Student membership is available to persons aged between 18 and 25 who are in full-time education.
*** Country membership is available to fully paid-up members of other golf clubs, who reside outside a 70 mile radius of Shifnal Golf Club. Country members may enter regular Club Competitions but may not enter Honours Board Competitions. They are not entitled to vote at club meetings or stand as an officer of the club.
