Shifnal Golf Club was awarded the Women in Golf Charter in August 2021. The Charter was launched by the R&A, together with England Golf.

The aims of the Charter are:

• to encourage more women and girls to learn to play golf and join a golf
club
• to inspire more families to enjoy golf as a group leisure activity
• to open up more opportunities for women to work within the golf industry
