As part of our commitment to adhere to the latest Government Guidelines with regard to the coronavirus pandemic, we have introduced a one-way system in the Clubhouse to help social distancing. We have also limited the amount of members and visitors who we allow in the Clubhouse.

The one-way system can be viewed by following the link below.

1. All golfers are reminded that they are to take care of their own safety as well as that of others whilst on the site of Shifnal Golf Club.

2. You are responsible for complying with and have a general understanding of The Rules of Golf that are set out by the R&A.

3. Shifnal Golf Club’s local rules will apply during your time on the site where required and appropriate rules may be displayed on the club’s noticeboard that can be viewed by people entering the clubhouse.

4. During maintenance of Shifnal Golf Course greenkeepers are to be given priority and warning where play may affect their personal safety.

5. Prior to a golf stroke or swing golfers are to ensure that no one is standing in a position where they could possibly be struck by the club, ball, or any other articles as a result.

6. Golfers are not to play a shot until other golfers in front on a hole are out of range. This includes holes that are blind during any shot and play during foggy conditions.

7. Where a struck ball is likely to endanger other people golfers are to alert them at the earliest opportunity with the warning shout of ‘fore’.

8. Provision will be made at Shifnal Golf Club for golfers to maintain areas of the course following use such as repairing divots and the maintenance of bunkers through the use of a rake.

9. Where there is a risk to a person’s safety due to weather conditions play may be suspended and golfers are to return to the clubhouse using a suitable route.

10. Club personnel may take the decision to stop play with immediate effect. This will be carried out through the use of a siren and golfers are to stop play and return to the clubhouse.

11. Golfers are reminded that they are to wear suitable clothing and footwear to minimise the risks associated with weather and ground conditions that may change throughout the day.

12. Due to the various treatments that are in use around the course to assist with maintenance golfers are to avoid items coming into contact with their mouth.

13. Provisions are in place at Shifnal Golf Club for the administration of emergency aid as and when required. All incidents and injuries are to be reported to the Club Secretary at the earliest opportunity.
